Thank you Sales Temperature!
2015 was a great year for us on many levels. Our revenue was up 7% over 2014 numbers, our highest level in over 15 years.
The best part of 2015 was being a part of your pre-release program. Prior to participating in the pre-release, I never put much thought into revenue analytics or sales forecasting software, nor could I have predicted the effect they have had on our bottom line.
We use the application as instructed, having our managers enter sales figures into the app at the end of each day. Because the app is so easy to use, our managers only spend an extra minute of their time closing the store each day. That little task has paid big dividends in the form of cost savings and profitability for us. When that sales figure is entered into the system, my partners and I immediately receive an email outlining the daily sales figures and the associated performance metrics. I love being able to track sales performance on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, whether in the office or at home, simply by logging into my account.
My partners are very impressed with Sales Temperature as well! They now have real time access to see how the store is performing, and no longer have to ask me for updates. The notifications, combined with the sales dashboard and revenue analytics, provide better insight into our sales than ever before. The revenue analytics feature alone delivers more value than I can adequately describe. However, it is the sales forecasting software that impresses me the most.
The sales forecasting software is able to predict our next day sales all the way up to five days out. The really amazing thing is that the predicted sales numbers are often accurate to within $5.00 of our actual sales numbers. If only the local meteorologists could predict snowfall and/or tornados that well. Right? Over the entire year of 2015, the difference between our forecasted sales, and our actual sales was only 4.8%. Below, I’ve attached a screen shot comparing the predicted numbers (orange) vs. actual numbers (blue). Sometimes, pictures are worth a thousand words, and that is definitely the case here.
My confidence in Sales Temperature’s forecasting software and revenue analytics grows on a daily basis. Based on that confidence, I have been making adjustments to my daily labor costs and I definitely feel that we are running our business more efficiently than ever before. I felt uneasy about rearranging hours in the schedule at first, but as I saw the results of those decisions, I became much more comfortable. From mid-February through year end we were able to cut our overall labor rate by 3% while at the same time increasing our revenue by over 7%.
To sum it all up, Sales Temperature is not only a vital accounting tool for my business, but also a time saver and stress reducer, as there is more money in the bank, and less spreadsheets to deal with. I am very excited to see what is ahead for Sales Temperature’s market analysis tool! I will be recommending Sales Temperature to friends, family, and colleagues for sure!
